Anh Huntington Welcome

A warm welcome

I’m Anh Huntington, a qualified counsellor based in Milton Keynes. I am a Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP), and I provide person-centred counselling for individuals and Imago Relationship Therapy for couples.

Sometimes, life can feel harder than usual. You may feel overwhelmed, uncertain, or simply feel that you need someone to talk to.

Counselling provides a safe and confidential space where you can explore the experiences, feelings and difficulties that have brought you here. I will support you as you navigate challenges, hurts, distress or moments in your life that feel difficult to understand or manage.

Together, we can explore what is happening for you in the present moment, develop a deeper understanding of yourself and consider the changes you may wish to make in your life and relationships.

My approach is based on compassion, respect and acceptance, allowing you to explore your experiences at your own pace.

How may I help you?

Counselling for individuals

Individual counselling offers you a confidential and supportive space to explore your thoughts, feelings and experiences. People come to counselling for many different reasons. You may be feeling anxious or overwhelmed, struggling with stress, confidence or self-esteem, or experiencing difficulties in your relationships. Perhaps you are feeling emotionally unsettled, stuck or uncertain about your life. You may be coping with grief, loss or a significant life change, or simply want to develop a deeper understanding of yourself and make changes in your life. Together, we can explore what you are experiencing and develop a greater awareness of your feelings, thoughts and patterns. My role is not to judge you or tell you what to do, but to support you in finding your own understanding and direction. For me, the relationship between us is central to the counselling process. I aim to offer a warm, empathic and non-judgemental space where you can feel heard, understood and accepted.

Counselling for couples

Relationships can sometimes experience difficulties, and seeking support can be an important step towards understanding each other better. When working with couples, I use the Imago Relationship Therapy (IRT) approach. Imago Relationship Therapy focuses on developing a deeper understanding between partners, improving communication and reducing patterns of conflict. Couples may seek counselling when they are experiencing difficulties communicating, feeling disconnected, struggling with repeated disagreements or wanting to strengthen their relationship. My role is to help you both express yourselves openly, listen differently and develop a stronger connection with each other. I feel privileged to be part of your journey and to support you in creating greater understanding, connection and compassion within your relationship.

My Approach to Counselling

I will provide you with a therapeutic relationship which you may use to heal and grow.

I offer empathy, unconditional acceptance, warmth and a genuine non-judgemental relationship where you can feel safe to explore your experiences.

My approach is rooted in the Person-Centred philosophy of Carl Rogers, which recognises the importance of empathy, acceptance and the therapeutic relationship in supporting personal growth and change.

People are just as wonderful as sunsets if you let them be. When I look at a sunset, I don’t find myself saying, ‘soften the orange a bit on the right-hand corner.’ I don’t try to control a sunset. I watch with awe as it unfolds.” — Carl Rogers

I believe every person is unique and deserves to be understood without judgement. Together, we can explore your experiences with kindness and curiosity, helping you develop greater self-awareness and understanding.

I work in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, offering counselling and psychotherapy for individuals and couples in a confidential and supportive environment.
