Counselling for Individuals
Counselling for individuals
For individuals, my practice focuses on person-centred therapy, a philosophy that says that within us, we have the resources to live a healthy and fulfilling life, but sometimes these resources can get blocked or distorted by our circumstances, from the past and in the present.
My role is to help you through difficult times and work through any issues, setbacks, or challenges. Together, we will discuss and allay your fears and concerns, and our explorations may result in changes reaching far beyond the topics covered. It may be an illuminating journey that we take together.
My focus is to build a trusting, respectful relationship that provides you with the necessary conditions to help you navigate through your difficult experiences. My work as a Counsellor reflects three core beliefs:
Being genuine, so you can successfully explore the issues that have brought you to seek help and find your way through them.
Being accepting, caring and empathic, giving you the opportunity to increase your self-understanding and manage your life in a more constructive, satisfying, and healthy way.
Providing a non-judgmental and safe place to share your experiences as we work together to explore your actions, thoughts, and feelings.
